The Lotus Exige is another addition to the Lotus family of lightweight sports
cars. It weighs 935 kg or (2057 lbs) and is powered by a 218 horsepower
supercharged engine. It is essentially a coupe version of the Lotus Elise, which
is a roadster. Available in North America and around the globe, the Exige has used an efficient Toyota
engine since 2005.

The custom design uses K&N's Apollo air filter enclosure along with a washable
reusable K&N air filter. The Apollo is designed to eliminate hot air problems
and provide the benefits of an open cone filter and a standard air box in one
unit.
The K&N Apollo cold air intake system comes with adaptors to fit the Lotus Exige.
By using a CNC mass air sensor pad, K&N keeps the Lotus Exige running within its
factory settings. There is no need to reprogram the factory settings after
installation. The

The removable cold air feed attachment on the Apollo allows cooler outside air
to enter the unit. Zip ties are also provided to secure the cold air hose in
position. It takes about 90 minutes or less to

Dodges ganged up on Tony Stewart in a three lap run to the finish at Daytona
International Speedway.

There were 42 lead changes among sixteen drivers which made the Daytona 500 one
of the most memorable races in history.
On lap 198, the 18 car driven by Kyle Busch got in line behind the 20 driven by
Stewart. Kurt Bush, Ryan Newman’s teammate got behind Newman in the draft and
helped pushed Newman to the win. Stewart took a third place finish and Kyle Bush
came in fourth despite leading 86 laps throughout the race. Kurt Busch took the
runner-up position.
This was the first time a Penske car won Daytona and finished 1-2 in a Cup race.
Roger Penske now has a Daytona 500 win to go with his 14 victories in the
Indianapolis 500. “Winning the Daytona 500 is a special victory for Penske
Racing and the No. 12 Alltel Dodge team,” said Penske. “We could not have
achieved such a win without the assistance from our sponsors including K&N air
filters.”

Veteran sprint car driver and K&N sponsored racer Cory Kruseman started the 2008
season on a high note at Perris Auto Speedway in Perris, California on February
8th and 9th.

Kruseman was able to take victory on both nights, while starting near the
back of the pack on Perris’ dirt oval. “It was cool both nights, Kruseman said.
“We were able to debut our new Viper chassis on the car and we were happy with
the car all weekend.”

Kruseman took the lead and drove to victory with three laps to go on
February 8th, and followed that up the next evening with a thrilling victory
coming in the final lap of the race.
The two wins put Kruseman within fifteen victories of tying Dean Thompson’s all
time record. “It’spretty exciting, he was a legend. Just the possibility of
winning that many events on the West Coast is exciting.”
Kruseman uses K&N’s composite airbox (100-8567) and K&N’s oil filter (HP-3002)
on his 410 c.i. sprint car.
