Jeep Cherokee & Commander Owners Add Estimated 15.30 Horsepower with K&N Air Intake System

K&N Engineering has released a new air intake system, part number 57-1549 for the 2005, 2006 and 2007 Jeep Grand Cherokee 5.7 liter V8 engine and the 2006 and 2007 Jeep Commander 5.7 liter V8 engine. K&N dynamometer tests show an estimated 15.30 horsepower gain @ 5046 RPM. The chrome top K&N air filter (RF-1048) sits behind a powder coated steel heat shield which helps isolate it from the rest of the engine compartment. This combination allows for a steady supply of unrestricted airflow to reach the Jeep's engine providing an instant performance gain with no other modifications necessary.

K&N's air intake design provides excellent air filtration and lower restriction than the factory air box system. The heat shield assembly is installed into the engine bay using factory mounting points. 2007 & 2008 Ford F-150 4.6L Gains Estimated 9.8 Horsepower with K&N Performance Air Intake System

The Ford F-150 series has a style borrowed from the Mighty F-350 Tonka concept truck. The F-150 grilles are trapezoidal. Both regular and Super Cab pickups can have a 6.5 or 8 foot cargo bed. Short beds are also available on this popular truck that closes in on the million unit mark annually. K&N dynamometer testing shows a 9.8 horsepower gain @ 4200 RPM. K&N designers removed the OE air box and intake and built a larger intake system to open up the breathing capacity for the 4.6 liter engine to get more air and power.

British Supersport Cup Resumes at Oulton Park in Cheshire, England

Harrison Brothers Racing is ready for the next round of the Fuchs Silkolene British Supersport Cup at Oulton Park in Cheshire. Richie and Jonathan Harrison are happy to end an enforced two round sabbatical after two separate motorcycle crashes at two earlier races.

As HBR enters the second half of the season the riders hope to improve their standings. “We have added a brand new full race exhaust system to my machine,” said Richie Harrison. “My bike has a whole new torque feel at the back wheel than we had before.”

Both riders have struggled throughout the first half of the season with their 121 bhp Superstock spec machines. Many of their competitors have motorcycles with more bhp and HBR has to work harder with their engines to get to the grid. The good news is, Richie and Jonathan both have improved their personal best lap times at every race this season.

“The HBR 2007 Yamaha with K&N Engineering products feels great,” said Richie. “I’m starting to gel with the bike and am gaining back my confidence.”

Suzuki Boulevard M50 Cruiser Motorcycle Enthusiasts Benefit from K&N Air Filter

The Suzuki Boulevard M50 is a cruiser under the Boulevard banner. The M50 design replaced the Marauder and has slightly different rocker-arm shafts. It also uses split crankshaft bearings that slightly change the crankcase which is painted black.
