Ford F350/F250 Super Duty Gains 16+ Horsepower with K&N's Performance Air Intake System

The 2006 Ford F350 Super Duty 6.8 Liter V10 can tow a staggering 17,000 pounds outfitted with a fifth-wheel hitch. K&N Engineering has a Performance Air Intake Kit (57-2567) available for this heavy-duty pickup.

With the addition of K&N Engineering's new Air Intake System, Ford Super Duty owners can realize a 16+ horsepower gain. K&N's Research and Development Department tested a 2005 Ford F250 6.8 liter V10 on our in-house dynamometer. Results showed a 16.21 horsepower gain @ 4450 RPM.

K&N intakes are designed to dramatically reduce intake restriction as they smooth and straighten air flow. This allows your engine to pull in air with ease compared to the OEM air filter assembly. More air means more power and torque when you need it. With the 57-2567, consumers towing heavy loads should see a difference in performance.

This air intake system uses a conical shaped chrome top high-flow air filter (RC-4630) and powder coated aluminum heat shield in place of the vehicle's stock air box. The result is an air filter that captures harmful particles, provides more surface area, flows more air, and increases service life. This K&N air filter performs for up to 100,000 miles before service is required depending on driving conditions. Improving the air path between the filter and the motor is the rotationally-molded high density polyethylene tube. It offers the most flexibility in design and outstanding horsepower numbers. KTM Motorcycles Really Flow with New K&N Oil Filters

Austrian motorcycle manufacturer KTM began it's full production of motorcycles in 1953 and is known for being a leading innovator of off-road motorcycle technology. European Mitsubishi Colt Owners Add Performance with K&N Induction Kit

Mitsubishi unveiled the 2008 Colt at the Frankfurt Motor Show because of its best seller status in Germany. The Colt is also a staple in the European market, especially in Italy and Spain.

K&N Engineering's 57-0672 for the Mitsubishi Colt 1.5 liter engine and Mitsubishi Colt 1.3 liter engine.

K&N Engineering has developed a performance air induction system, the 57-0672, for several European models of the Mitsubishi Colt. See the complete applications list below.

The K&N air intake system is equipped with a K&N lifetime air filter. The cold air hose is positioned toward the bumper vent to obtain a steady supply of cool fresh air. The silicone hose is designed to replace the vent hose from the stock air system. K&N designed this induction kit to achieve extra horsepower by picking up the coolest air possible

Custom mounting hardware to fit specific European Colt models is also included. This hardware allows the K&N air filter to remain firmly in place so it feeds cool free flowing air into the engine to help improve performance. K&N also provides a stabilizer with brackets. All adaptors are made from high quality materials such as steel, aluminum, silicone or reinforced nylon for longevity.

K&N air intake kits are easy to assemble, usually in 90 minutes or less and come with the famous K&N Million Mile Limited Warranty. Once assembled the 57-0672 is designed to free your vehicle from much of the original air box restriction while providing power gain and excellent filtration.

The 2006-2008 Ford Explorer Gains 11 HP with K&N Air Intake System

The Ford Explorer is one of the best handling truck based SUVs on the market. Ford made substantial upgrades to the Explorer for the 2006 model year. In 2007 there were only minor changes. It comes with a long list of standard equipment and important safety features.

K&N Engineering has developed a performance air intake system (57-2573) that is street legal in 50 states for the 2006, 2007 and 2008 Ford Explorer with 4.6 liter V8 engine. K&N dynamometer testing shows an estimated gain of 11 horsepower at 4500 rpm.

To immediately see the benefits of a K&N air intake system, simply replace the Explorer’s original intake assembly with the 57-2573. Cooler outside air is drawn through a washable and reusable K&N chrome top air filter (RF-1048) for more power and filtering capacity.

A powder coated steel heat shield replaces the stock air box and protects the K&N air filter while isolating it from engine heat. The 57-2573 uses the OE Mass Airflow Sensor. Although the MAF is re-positioned to gain the benefits of additional horsepower, no computer programming is required.

The K&N air intake system can be installed in 90 minutes or less with simple hand tools and comes with the famous K&N Million Mile Limited Warranty.

Championship Off-Road Racing (CORR) Series Resumes at Chula Vista International Raceway

Chula Vista International Raceway is hosting the halfway point in the Championship Off-Road Racing (CORR) series near San Diego in California.

All four Rockstar Makita Team LeDuc drivers will compete in rounds seven and eight of the highly-competitive closed course racing series. “I think we’re in good shape, said Curt LeDuc. “All four of our drivers are in the top 10 in point standings.”

Pro 2 class star Todd LeDuc won both main events in Pomona, California and is third in the overall standings. His younger brother Kyle LeDuc is fifth in overall points in the Pro 4 class. Team leader Curt LeDuc has a trio of top 10s and is sixth overall in Pro 4. Freestyle motocross legend Brian Deegan, a novice at racing on four wheels, has three top 10s and is tenth overall in the Pro Lite Class.

“I’m happy that we’re close in points,” said Kyle LeDuc. “We’ve made a statement so far this year with my Rockstar Makita Ford. We’ve qualified on the pole and we’ve run up front, but my goal is to win.”

Both brothers have won in Chula Vista previously and enjoy racing at the facility. Kyle LeDuc has taken the checkered flag there four times in the Pro Lite Class and Todd LeDuc has three wins in Pro 2, including last year’s season finale.

“The track is huge and it’s exciting,” said Kyle LeDuc. “It’s more of a race track than Pomona, with ups and downs and lefts and rights. It’s an awesome track.”

LeDuc’s two new Ford trucks are equipped with K&N Engineering products. “We’ve had a lot of changes but one thing that has remained is our relationship with K&N Engineering,” said LeDuc. “K&N products are reliable and work for us on the track. Team LeDuc Rockstar Makita uses K&N oil filters HP-5001 and HP-4004, K&N air filter E-3760, K&N XStream air flow top filter 66-3070 and K&N crankcase vent filters 62-1512 and 62-1514.

The races will be televised live on SPEED-TV Saturday from 3 to 5 p.m. PST and NBC will carry Sunday’s races from noon to 1:30 p.m. PST.
