K&N 57A-6010 air induction kit for Renault Clio
K&N has released a new performance air intake kit (57A-6010) for the Renault Clio. See the complete vehicle list below. This kit is designed to eliminate hot air problems and provide the benefits of an open cone filter and standard air box in one unit.

The 57A-6010 uses the K&N Apollo, a shell which houses a K&N high-flow air filter. The Apollo comes with attachments for the Renault which allow cool outside air to be fed into the unit. K&N’s UK facility conducted bench air flow testing and power gains have been consistent under most driving conditions with the Apollo. Rolling road tests also show positive power gains.
K&N air intake systems are designed to free vehicles from much of the restriction caused by the original air intake system. Simply replace the factory airbox to allow less restricted air to the engine for added power and performance. Instructions are included with each kit in several different languages. K&N air intake kits are easy to
assemble, usually in 90 minutes or less and come with the famous K&N Million Mile Limited Warranty.

Kevin Johnson proved he was most qualified for the Speed and Style event at X Games 14 by taking home X Games Gold. The Team Faith YZF 250 Yamaha rider has been diligently working on his back flip since the
very first Speed and Style event at the Moto X World Championship games.
Team Faith Rider Kevin Johnson Gets X Games 14 Gold on YZF 250 Yamaha
“I must have done 200 flips into foam pits trying to get comfortable doing flips on dirt,” said Johnson. “But I never really got comfortable. I did land a back flip to dirt, but I also crashed.” The Speed and Style competition is played out just like its name. Racers try to best each other on speed and judges are on hand to determine who has the best form when it comes to flips and jumps.
World's best freestyle motocross riders use tricks and speed for one X Games Gold
In practice Johnson looked good on the hard packed track. His Yamaha was a little underpowered when it came to what the others were riding, but it worked well when it came to the technical and timing aspect of the event.
In the Semi-Finals Johnson was paired against Jeremy Stenberg. He gave Johnson a run for his money until the second lap. Stenberg wowed the crowd with flip tricks while Johnson wowed the crowd and judges with bigger tricks. It was enough to advance Johnson to the Finals and a face off against one of the world’s best freestyle motocross riders, Ronnie Renner.
“Ronnie beat me on the start but I passed him on the first lap,” said Johnson. “Our style tricks were about the same, but I beat him by about four seconds. Those four seconds made the difference and I took the gold.”

KN-141 at all of his races. “K&N always gives me the air flow I need,” he said. “With free style I have a trick called the hand grab and K&N allows me to have more power and more throttle response.”
Johnson said he did not expect to get the X Games Gold. “I was really surprised,” he said. “I never expected to do that well. Everything just happened to go my way the day of the event.”
Maybe 200 back flips into foam pits also helped Johnson find his way to the
gold.

Speed Week at the legendary Bonneville Salt Flats is the place to break land-speed records. Jason McVicar broke another kind of record. He may be the fastest motorcycle land speed crash survivor.
World's Fastest Open Motorcycle - Two turbo Suzuki Hayabusa with racer Jason McVicar
McVicar was running the long course on his two turbo Suzuki Hayabusa when his motorcycle hit debris. The Falkner-Livingston Team rider was going 243 mph when he came off the bike.
Jason McVicar may be the fastest motorcycle crash survivor on record. He was going 243 mph during Speed Week at Bonneville when it happened.

The debris had apparently been left on the course by a car. McVicar said the rear tire broke loose and the bike turned a sharp left and began tumbling. “Both the bike and Jason tumbled through the air,” said Team Manger Becca Livingston. “They were tumbling separately for the most part, but they did apparently contact at one point. When the safety team and medics arrived at the accident they were surprised to find him alive.”
McVicar was transported to a hospital in Salt Lake City, Utah and released later the same day. He suffered a broken kneecap. McVicar is at home in Vancouver, Canada resting and recovering with his very relieved wife and son by his side.
“Before the crash we set the all time top speed on the Salt Flats by an open motorcycle at 253.297 mph,” said McVicar. “This was a special record. It is the fastest salt record on a sit-on bike.”
Team FL rider Randall Parker also bumped his record in the 1000cc MPS-G class from 201.234 mph to 202.730 mph. Team FL uses K&N Engineering products on all their motorcycles.
“The K&N air filters performed well and kept the salt out of our highly tuned engines,” said McVicar. “Part of our routine every night was to clean the K&N filters with the K&N filtercharger kit.”
Next year, McVicar will be back at Bonneville in the repaired Suzuki Hayabusa. His goal is for a new land speed record of 260 mph.
