K&N has developed an air intake system (57i-9500) for the Volkswagen Golf and Audi A3. See a list of the specific make and models below.

Our K&N air intake kit includes a K&N chrome top lifetime air filter which is protected from engine heat by a heat shield. There is a flexible cold air hose which is positioned by the lower spoiler for a steady supply of fresh air. A silicone adaptor hose is also included to replace the vent hose from the stock air system. K&N designed this air induction kit to achieve extra horsepower by removing most of the restiction caused by the original airbox system.

Custom mounting hardware is provided to fit specific Golf and Audi models. This hardware allows the K&N air filter to remain firmly in place to help feed free flowing air into the engine for improved performance. K&N also provides new mounting brackets for the heat shield.

All adaptors are made from high quality materials such as steel, aluminum, silicone or reinforced nylon for longevity.

K&N air intake kits are easy to assemble, usually in 90 minutes or less and come with the famous K&N Million Mile Limited Warranty. Once assembled the 57i- 9500 is designed to free your vehicle from much of the original air box restriction while providing additional power and excellent filtration.

The PL-8007 is designed for the 2008 to 2016 Polaris Ranger RZR 800 and the 2009 to 2016 Polaris Ranger RZR S 800. It is designed to fit specifically into your OE air filter assembly and provide increased airflow, boost engine performance and dust capacity.

The filter's base and top are made with high quality urethane to ensure a perfect seal and a long life. Fuel management modifications are not necessary to obtain increased performance.

The PL-8007 comes with a K&N DryCharger to protect the filter from water splashes in harsh conditions. The DryCharger will also increase time between cleanings. K&N high temperature sealing grease is provided to ensure an optimum seal in rough terrain. All K&N high-flow air filters are washable and reusable, pre-oiled and ready to ride.

Lonigo in Italy will Host Penultimate Round of 2008 Grand Prix Speedway Championship

The penultimate round of the 2008 Speedway Grand Prix World Championship will be at Lonigo in Italy. Double World Speedway Champion Jason Crump knows he has to ride his motorcycle at his absolute best if he is to have any chance whatsoever of claiming the 2008 World Championship title.

The Australian racer has to capture as many points as possible in a bid to shake-off Denmark’s Greg Hancock and Poland’s Tomasz Gollob who are within striking distance of the silver medal.

Over the last three years, Crump has been successful at Lonigo. He reached the A-final on all three occasions and took a win there in 2005 and 2006.

“I use Lonigo in the off season for testing my engines and setting up my bikes so I know the track well,” said Crump. “The track is similar to the tracks in Australia, so I like racing there. I have a lot resting on my shoulders right now but I am used to the pressure after 17 years of racing. I just need to perform at my best and bring home another win.”

Crump is currently second in the overall points standings. Crump is an 18-time Grand Prix winner. He has used K&N Engineering products during his entire racing career. “K&N makes the best filter on the market,” he said. “I can also depend on extra filtration and additional horsepower every time I race.”

Several New K&N Apollo Air Induction Systems for a Range of Makes and Models Released

K&N has developed several new performance induction kits for a wide range of makes and models in Europe and across the globe. These air induction systems are made using K&N's Apollo, a protective shell which houses a K&N high-flow washable and reusable lifetime air filter in one unit. This provides the benefits of an open cone filter and standard air box in one unit. The Apollo is designed with attachments that are vehicle specific which allow outside air to enter the unit. K&N rolling road tests showed positive power gains.

K&N cold air intake kits are designed to free vehicles from the restriction of the original factory air box. K&N air intake kits replace the factory air box and the entire air path to the engine. This allows a virtually unrestricted flow of air to reach the engine for added power and performance.

K&N air induction systems come with custom mounting hardware for specific vehicles. Instructions are included with each kit in several different languages. K&N performance intake systems are easy to assemble, usually in 90 minutes or less and come with the famous K&N Million Mile Limited Warranty.

2008 through 2012 Scion xD with 1.8L Engine Gets 5.45 Horsepower Gain with K&N Air Intake Kit

The 2008 Scion xD is a smooth subcompact coupe that has the practicality of a four-door hatchback. It makes good use of the available space. There is a 1.8 liter engine under the hood that's rated at 128 horsepower.

K&N has designed an air intake kit (69-8615TS) that allows the 2008 through 2012 Scion xD 1.8 liter engine make better power. K&N dynamometer tests show the 1.8 liter engine gained 5.45 horsepower @ 5300 RPMs with this air intake. K&N air intake systems provide a measure increase in horsepower while providing excellent filtration.

K&N replaced the Scion xD's original intake assembly, including the air box, air filter and intake tube with an all-new powder coated silver intake design. The new K&N system draws air through a large K&N chrome top air filter (RC-4630) that increases airflow. Our air intake system has lower restriction than the factory air box system which results in additional power to the engine.

A powder coated steel heat shield isolates and protects the K&N washable and reusable air filter from engine heat for better performance. The 69-8615TS is designed so the mass air sensor will work with the factory stock settings.
