K&N designed a performance air induction system (57-0570) for several Audi, Volkswagen, Seat and Skoda models. See the complete vehicle list below.

The 57-0570 is designed to reduce restriction and provide the benefits of a chrome top lifetime washable and reusable K&N air filter. The manufacturer’s air box restricts air flow to the engine. K&N’s performance air intake system is designed to free your vehicle from restriction. This results in increased power with excellent filtration.

Custom mounting hardware is included to fit the specific models for this K&N air intake kit. The hardware keeps the K&N air filter firmly in place. The adaptors are made from high quality materials such as steel, silicone and reinforced nylon to ensure longevity. The included self adhesive gasket fits tight on the air box lid for a secure fit.

You will need to purchase a tube of super glue prior to fitting this kit. You will need it to secure the neoprene cord to the air box base as shown in the multi-lingual installation instruction sheets. Sealing grease is included for the air box seals and gasket.

K&N air intake kits are easy to assemble, usually in 90 minutes or less and come with the famous K&N Million Mile Limited Warranty.

2008 and 2009 Dodge Caliber SRT4 Makes Estimated 10.85 More Horsepower with K&N Air Intake

K&N has released a performance air intake system (63-1560) for the 2008 and 2009 Dodge Caliber SRT-4 with 2.4 liter turbo engine.

K&N dynamometer tests show an estimated 10.85 horsepower gain at 5500 RPM. K&N engineers were able to get this additional power because the original factory airbox and original air filter were restrictive. K&N cold air intake systems are designed to reduce intake restriction and at the same time, smooth and straighten airflow while providing excellent filtration. This results in a power gain along with outstanding engine protection.

The 63-1560 uses a washable and reusable high-flow K&N air filter (RU-3570) and a powder coated heat shield in place of the vehicle's stock airbox. The heat shield isolates the K&N air filter from engine heat. There is a factory fresh air intake duct that delivers outside air to the K&N air filter housed within the heat shield.

The K&N intake tube attaches directly to the turbo inlet providing smooth air flow to the engine. The 63-1560 includes all necessary hardware, uses factory mount points and has provisions for factory vent hoses.

The washable and reusable K&N air filter can perform for up to 100,000 miles before service is required. It takes about 90 minutes to install and is covered by K&N’s Million Mile Limited Warranty.

Citroen C1, Toyota Aygo and Peugeot 107 Microcars Benefit with K&N Air Induction System

The Citroen C1 is in the microcar class. It is considered a triplet with the Peugeot 107 and Toyota Aygo in style and power. The tiny two-seat cars were made to go head-to-head with the Smart car. The Aygo is sold mostly in Europe.

California State Karting Championships Race On Thanksgiving Weekend

K&N sponsored teen racer Jacob Pearlman won the Tri-C Karters Paradise Chevrolet Fall Series Championship in the Touch-and-Go Senior class.

Pearlman was fast and consistent throughout the fall championship season. He finished on the podium in every event on his way to his first championship as a Senior-class racer.

The 16-year-old drove his No.125 DPK Birel Kart with K&N products during the International Karting Federation sanctioned racing season.

Pearlman competed on the Grange Racetrack in Apple Valley, California and ran in front of the pack. Grange is situated in the high desert northeast of Los Angeles and is the fastest and most technical kart track in Southern California.

“The short fall days and limited daylight made the circuit even more challenging,” said Pearlman. “Running part of the day under the lights makes the tough circuit even more challenging. In order to be competitive, engine and chassis turning were critical to ensure our kart ran well with the changing temperatures. We rely on K&N products to ensure peak performance and maximum reliability in our karts, race car and tow vehicles.”

The Tri-C Karters is one America’s oldest and most competitive IFK Sanctioned Karting organizations. Pearlman’s final race event of the year will be the California State Karting Championships over the Thanksgiving weekend.

“We really want to take this opportunity to put the car through its paces on gravel for the first time before we get to the serious building stage,” said Comrie-Picard. “It’s an amazing car and we look forward to getting it out there into gravel rally competition.”

Comrie-Picard drove the car to a Modern division victory at the Targa Newfoundland in September, where it broke ground on the tarmac in a standard class.

“This Evo X is fantastic right out of the box, and we’ll be able to hold our own, but we have modest expectations for our debut gravel event,” he said. “Our vehicle preparation has just begun.”

The team plans to develop the Evo X for gravel over the course of the coming year, bringing performance modifications online throughout the season.

Comrie-Picard recently returned from the SEMA (Specialty Equipment Market Association) show in Las Vegas, Nevada. He signed autographs at the K&N booth in front of his Rally Car that went end-over-end at the X-games. The car was suspended from the ceiling in the K&N booth and could be seen from almost every advantage point in the Central Hall at the Las Vegas Convention Center.

“K&N filters have been our choice for a decade,” he said. “We race in a high-dust, high-speed environment and K&N keeps contaminants out of our engines.”

His next race will be the Rally of the Tall Pines. It features some of the toughest driving challenges in North America with conditions often referred to as winter roads and summer ditches. Unpredictable weather at this time of year means the roads can be slick with ice or snow. This early in the winter there are no cushioning snow banks to help keep the cars out of deep ditches.

More than 40 teams are expected to take the start at this event and Team ACP will have the first and only Evo X in the field. The rally takes place November 20-22 and includes more than 150 kilometers of competition near Bancroft, Ontario in Canada.
