O’Reilly Raceway Park at Indianapolis, Indiana hosted the Pingel Thunder Motorcycle Nationals. Adams Performance Kawasaki Team rider Jeremy Teasley qualified number one and ran the low elapsed time every round on his way to the BST Real Street win. Teammate and rider Rickey Gadson not only won the Super Sport race, he set the new eighth and quarter mile records at 5.823 and 8.79 seconds.

"Rickey has also won three out of four races in 2009 in Super Sport on the AMA Dragbike circuit,” said team boss Coby Adams. “Jeremy also showed why he too is one of the best riders on the planet. Touching 180 mph is a real and rare accomplishment for most entries in the class, but Jeremy topped 188 in qualifying on his Unlimited Kawasaki ZX14.”
The KA-1406 is a washable, reusable air filter that is designed to increase horsepower and torque while providing excellent filtration in these already powerful Kawasaki motorcycles
K&N powersports ‘spin-on’ oil filters like KN-303C feature a heavy-duty metal can. Most of these have a 17mm nut affixed onto the end that allows for easy installation and removal. The 17mm nut is crossed-drilled so racers can safety wire the filter to their bike
Teasley capped off the weekend with a 7.999 lap in his final round victory. “We’re taking the points lead and not looking back,” said Adams. “Now we are set on making an impressive run in the MIRock points chase. We’ve set our sights on the 7.80 barrier and going over 190 mph.”
Teasley came in second to his teammate Rickey Gadson in a tight all-ZX14 final in the closely matched Supersport class. “From the very start of the 2009 racing season, Kawaskai ZX14s have dominated AMA Dragbike’s Supersport, Real Street and Super Street Classes,” said Adams. “Rickey always does an impressive job riding anything you put him on. From the wheelies he had to deal with on the brute-powered Pro Street bike to his graceful control in Supersport, Rickey is a good rider. He is close to having another Supersport Championship wrapped up.”
The Adams Performance Team uses K&N air (KA-1406) and oil filters
(KN-303C). “I’ve been using K&N since 1987,” said Adams, who also owns Adams Performance in Mooresville, North Carolina. “I use K&N on the motorcycles we build for our customers. It’s the best product out there, on and off the track.”
The Pingel Thunder Nationals was the fifth stop in the eight-race motorcycle drag racing championship series. Top motorcycle drag racers
are in the hunt for the AMA Dragbike No. 1 plate. Competition is held in five professional class, Top Fuel, Funnybike, Pro Mod, Pro Stock and Pro Street with three semi-pro classes, Super Street, Super Sport and Real Street. There are also six sportman classes in the series which are Top Gas, Super Comp, Street Fighter, Super Eliminator, Pro ET and Street ET.
The next event for the team will be at the Schnitz Racing Summer Sizzler, August 22-23 at Rockingham Dragway in North Carolina.

Air intake for Honda Fit 1.5L
2009 Honda Fit
K&N has designed a performance air intake system (69-1017TTK)
in black for the 2009 to 2013 Honda Fit with a 1.5 liter engine that is guaranteed to
increase power. K&N dynamometer tests show the 1.5 liter engine gained 4.53 horsepower at 6000 RPMs with this air intake kit.

The 69-1017TTK has lower restriction than the factory air box system. It draws air through a high flow washable and reusable chrome top K&N air filter (RC-9630) which is protected by a powder coated heat shield.
The heat shield directs incoming fresh air from the factory air inlet into the air filter and isolates the K&N air filter from the engine compartment for better performance. The heat shield assembly is installed into the engine bay using factory mounting points and attaches to the intake tube.
The 69-1017TTK integrates the mount from the vehicle’s mass air sensor. Remove the mass air sensor from your vehicle’s stock air box and install it into K&N’s less restrictive mandrel bent aluminum tube using the provided K&N hardware.
All the OE emissions devices are reused and the MAS placed in a location that works with the factory settings. The provided crankcase vent hose attaches to the aluminum intake tube. The 69-1017TTK can be easily installed in 90 minutes or less and is backed by the famous K&N Million Mile Limited Warranty.
Acura's flagship model, the RL, received a heavy make over for 2009. Refreshed exterior styling is matched with a refined and enlarged power train. The RL's V6 now displaces 3.7L and produces a claimed 300 horsepower at 6,300 RPM. 300 horsepower, all wheel drive, and an MSRP that's thousands less than it's competition, makes this midsize luxury sedan very competitive in a market segment where image is everything.

The simple drop in design makes a K&N replacement air filter an easy, and ecological, performance add-on for your 2009, 2010, 2011 or 2012 Acura RL 3.7L V6.
This K&N low-restriction air filter is washable and reusable. Allowing your engine to breathe easier can give your car extra horsepower and extra acceleration that can come in handy, even during every day driving. The 33-2425 will require cleaning every 50,000 miles under normal highway driving conditions. It will provide outstanding engine protection for the life of your vehicle and since it never needs to be replaced part number
33-2425 will help to reduce waste.
K&N stock replacement air filters for street vehicles are covered by our famous K&N Million Mile Limited Warranty® and will be the last air filter your vehicle will ever need.

Primetime Race Group owner and driver Joel Feinberg won back to back races and now leads the series championship in the IMSA Lites Series.
The Primetime Team had another busy week of campaigning cars for a triple race weekend. Feinberg entered the Road America American Le Mans Series GT2 race at Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin with a four point deficit to take the lead.
“There was no previous setup information for the No. 7 Elan DP-02 on the four-mile track,” said Primetime Marketing Manager Britoni Burdett. “As a result the team spent the two practice days trying to find the best balance between aerodynamic speed and mechanical grip.”
The team made sure they were ready when it was time for qualifying. During the twenty minute session to determine track position, Feinberg recorded a lap time of 2:06.6 with an average lap speed of over 115 mph. “He not only took the pole position, he did it by more than a full second better than the competition,” said Burdett. “Joel also set a new IMSA Lites track record that held up for the entire weekend.”
This was a no mistakes double header race for Feinberg. He started from the front of the pack and set the pace for the start of the race. There were several restarts and the ultra technical track took two prisoners. “The fastest corner of the track claimed the No. 12 and the No. 79 cars,” said Burdett. “This caused a full course caution that would take 2-3 laps behind the pace car to clean up.”
On the race restart, Feinberg was passed in turn one when the No. 13 car pulled a draft on the long straightaway. “Joel regained his position within the next lap,” said Burdett. “It happened before another two car incident which called for a full course caution.”
With only seven minutes left in the race it ended under caution. Feinberg took his fourth win of the year as well as the overall point lead in the series and team championship.
“A win is a win,” said Feinberg. “I knew I had the best car on the track and I knew what I had to do to stay ahead of these guys.”
On the second race day, Feinberg took the lead and clinched his 5th win of the season as well as a 31 point lead for the driver championship.
“The K&N air filters we use in the Primetime racers always work flawlessly,” said Joe Henry, Primetime Chief Engineer. “We never have to worry about the performance of the K&N products. K&N provides the highest quality filters which help increase horsepower and helps guarantee the performance we need in our race cars.”
The day was not over for the Fort Lauderdale, Floridian. Immediately after the podium ceremony, Feinberg went to the race grid for the feature American Le Mans Series race with Primetime’s GT2 Dodge Viper.
Co-driver Chris Hall took the helm for the start of the race and maintained a consistent pace for most of the race. He held on to his 8th in class position until finding his way into the gravel in turn six. Unfortunately this put the No. 11 Viper a lap down to the field and in an unlikely position to make up the deficit.
With only 90 minutes remaining, Feinberg took over and turned his best laps of the week. His Viper was faster than any of the other American made race cars with the fast lap of the race at 2:11.1. The No. 11 ultimately took the checkered 19th in class.
Primetime Race Group’s next stop is the 2009 Grand Prix of Mosport at Mosport International Raceway in Bowmanville, Ontario on August 30.
California Dirt Ford Focus Week consisted of three races at three different race tracks in one week. The first stop on the tour was Perris Auto Speedway, next was Ventura Speedway and finally Hanford Kings Speedway. K&N supported racer Cody Swanson had three top five finishes and was second overall in points.

“I was really looking forward to this week,” said Swanson. “I knew that we would have to be at the top of our game.” Swanson drove well at Perris and brought home a solid third place finish. At Ventura, the GOODWINE glass, K&N Filters, Lucas Oil Ford Focus midget finished 5th place. “We started the main in the 8th position and worked our way up through traffic,” said Swanson. “It is tough to pass the other cars on this particular track.”

The Swanson Motorsports Team headed into the final race of the series at Kings Speedway in Hanford, California. Swanson was tied for 3rd in points. The starting lineup was set by qualifying times and the top six cars were inverted for the main event.
“My dad and I discussed strategy concerning playing the inversion,” said Swanson. “I decided I didn’t want to play the games and wanted to go for it. We ended up with the fast time of 11.392 on the second lap.” In the main, Swanson was able to wind his way through traffic and bring home another solid third place finish and took second place in points in the three races series championship.
“K&N performed as expected, perfectly,” said Kirk Swanson, Cody’s father. “We use K&N air filters, breather filters and oil filters on our USAC Ford Focus midget. K&N is easy to service and provides long life and protection for our engines. K&N has sponsored and supported us since Cody’s early race days in karts.”
Swanson will race again the first week of September in Hanford, California at Kings Speedway.
