K&N met Josh and Brad Wahl at the 2009 SEMA (Specialty Equipment Market Association) Show in Las Vegas, Nevada, were they discussed their commitment to excellence and dedication to using reliable performance parts for their services. The Hollywood Motors family has worked on an abundance of personal projects outside of the custom builds for their clients. Some of their personal projects include a fully customized 1999 Dodge Dakota R/T, 1996 Dodge Ram supercharged with nitrous, 2007 Harley Davidson Ultra Glide, 2004 Mazda RX8, 1989 Mazda RX7, 2006 Scion tC, 2007 Scion tC, 2001 Chevrolet Suburban and a lifted 2001 Chevy Silverado.
Two additional builds for Hollywood Motors include Josh and Brad Wahl's custom Scion's, a 2005 tC and 2006 tC RS1. "Both cars are show cars that double as daily drivers," Josh adds. "What's the point of having something you love if you can't drive it all the time?" Both vehicles are equipped with K&N air filter RE-0930.

BMW Motorrad has been in the business of building world renowned motorcycles for over 75 years. Many consumers immediately associate BMW with its full line of luxury automobiles, and forget BMW makes equally impressive motorcycles.

BMW Motorrad offers an extensive line of motorcycles. From bikes intended for commuting, off-roading, loaded touring and even competition. Seizing the opportunity to further fill the needs of enthusiasts, BMW introduced the “X” line of motorcycles.
The 2007 “X”, pronounced as “cross”, line was made of three separate, but similar machines. The XMoto is a factory Supermoto motorcycle. The XChallenge resembles a dirt bike and is referred to as a hard enduro. Finally, for those who just couldn’t decide between the two, BMW offers the XCountry. The XCountry falls in between the street-only XMoto and the dirt oriented XChallenge making it a universal dual-sport motorcycle or a "scrambler."
The 2007, 2008, 2009 and 2010 BMW G650 XChallenge, XCountry, and XMoto as well as the 2007 to 2011 G650 XChallenge models are all very versatile and powerful machines. K&N has released a new washable/reusable High-Flow Air Filter™ (BM-6507) to meet the demands of these machines and their owners.

Short course off road racing is on the agenda for SoCal SuperTrucks in the 2010 season
The drivers, crews and spectators returned to the challenging track in Nevada
in November to start closing out the year. The bone chilling wind in the desert did not stop K&N sponsored racer Ricky James. He dominated the competition in his SoCal SuperTrucks SuperLite and captured both victories in Rounds 11 and 12 of the
LOORRS Series.

Friday’s qualifying session put James in 2nd position behind UTV Champion, Chad George. The track featured a demanding rhythm section which became somewhat of an obstacle for James throughout the weekend. "The rhythm section consists of double jumps," said Casey Coughlin, co-owner of SoCal Super Trucks. "You jump off of one and land on the backside of the next one. There were three pairs of double jumps in a row. They are really big and spread out so the smaller SuperLite trucks had trouble getting through them cleanly. Timing is critical and that is why it is called the rhythm section."
The truck also had a few issues, but the SoCal SuperTrucks crew worked late into the night to find the problems and fix them. They cleaned the carburetor and replaced the alternator and James was ready for battle.
On Saturday, James and George went ahead of the pack after the green flag. It looked as if it would be a fight to the finish until George became a casualty of the rhythm section and flipped his truck several times. The crash allowed James to finish the race uncontested and take the victory.
James completely dominated Sunday’s Bully Dog Super Lite Race after the second lap of racing. He spun out on the first lap which brought him back to 6th position, but quickly advanced to the lead on the second lap. James won by more than 10 seconds.
James started the LOORRS 2009 Season late. He was a newcomer to the sport of four- wheel off road racing, but captured five out of six victories this season and one runner-up position.
James was paralyzed from the chest down in a motocross racing accident in 2005. SoCal SuperTrucks outfitted the Super Lite race truck with hand controls that allow James to control the throttle, brake, clutch and shifting with his left hand. This allows him to steer with his right hand.
“We make progress every time we take the truck out,” said Coughlin. “There is a learning curve to short course racing and we’ve given Ricky a good solid truck and he’s getting great results. We also put the best products available on the truck. K&N is always on top of our list. K&N gives us excellent power and filtration and protects our engines. Without the help and support of K&N we would not be sitting on the podium.”
“I want to thank everyone who helped me win over the weekend,” said James. “These victories are a team effort.”
James will next race in the Lucas Oil Challenge Cup, December 11-12 at Lake Elsinore Motorsports Complex in Lake Elsinore, California. James will be competing for an early Christmas present with a $20,000 prize purse in the Super Lite Class.

Ford plans to introduce the Fiesta to additional markets, including Asia, Australia and North America. The Fiesta is slotted to arrive in the U.S.A by early 2010 as a 2011 model.

In 2008, de Encio changed gears and began focusing on building image vehicles for automotive manufacturers such as GM, Chrysler, Dodge, Nissan, Infiniti and Lexus. As part of this change his Huntington Beach, California company name went from CTL Motorsports to Automotive Design Concepts. In 2009, Kia Motors became an addition to de Encio's long list of automobile manufacturers.
Manny de Encio continues to impress his clients by delivering top-of-the-line service rich with skill and experience. "I have been modifying vehicles for over 25 years," de Encio said. "I have built everything from street rods, low riders, tuners, luxuries, limos, trucks, SUVs, and some of the largest H2 Hummers in the world."
K&N visited de Encio at the 2009 SEMA (Specialty Equipment Market Association) Show in Las Vegas, Nevada. His custom 2010 Kia Forte coupe was on display outside SEMA where spectators gathered around the many high-end vehicles that covered the parking lot. "I have been coming to SEMA since 1999," he explained. "I brought the 2010 Forte coupe as a feature vehicle for Kinetik Audio. It is a show vehicle for Kia Motors USA."

As de Encio's visions and his business, Automotive Design Concepts, continue to grow, one thing is certain for the future.
