"Killing Time" is the theme of Steve Burkett's masterpiece. The 2012 Chrysler 300 3.6L V6 is his most recent work. He has spent countless hours on this vehicle and it has definitely paid off. Steve found his passion at a young age of 15 when he built his first car, a 1970 Camaro. The Camaro was specifically picked because it was the year he was born. Steve's vehicle preference is American cars. He is a local to K&N Engineering, growing up just outside of Riverside in Lake Elsinore, Ca.

Although Steve had a vision for his Chrysler 300 to show and shine, he also wanted it to be efficient so he could use it as his daily driver. He started by choosing the V6 engine over the V8, which has allowed him to have better fuel economy while being able to maintain good power.

Recently this car has been at the DUB Show in Los Angeles and Phoenix, SEMA 2012, and in the near future, can be seen at the "Severed Ties in the Southwest" show December 8th, DUB 2013 Season West Coast Sites, Extreme Auto fests as well as

Steve has done over 59 different shows and has won over 77 trophies. He has been at SEMA for the last 5 years and plans on attending many more in the future. Over these 5 years he has been able to provide 100 cars for the SEMA events. He is also a member of the Swift Car Club, which was established in 1995.

Steve has recently been able to work with several Japanese Auto blogs and had the opportunity to have the "Killing Time" Chrysler 300 drawn as a Cartoon by Hayato Tsuchiya. He was introduced to this artist when he had the chance of a lifetime to travel to Japan. "Killing Time" was also featured in J-Lug Magazine which is a Japanse premiere Dub Style Magazine.

What really makes this car pop is the candy apple red paint, over a base of galaxy grey; not to mention, the K&N air intake system, part 69-2544TP, improves horsepower. "The reason I choose K&N is because of the quality of their product and their great warranty," said Steve. He has put K&N products on almost all of his vehicles.

Alan Kenny Wins First NHRA Super Comp Championship with the Help of Son Jason Kenny

Alan Kenny recently drove his a Super Comp dragster to a 2012 NHRA Championship
At 60 years old and after 39 years of drag racing, Alan Kenny won his first national championship.

He came into the NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series season finale at Auto Club Raceway in Pomona, Calif., as the leader in the Super Comp standings.

Even though he didn't reach the final rounds of elimination at Pomona, he had a big enough lead to win the Super Comp championship.

"It's like a fairy tale season," Kenny said. "If you're a drag racer, the NHRA world championship is your World Series, your Super Bowl, whatever you want to call it. Every year, you lay in bed at night when you can't sleep thinking, you know, if I could just win a couple early, maybe I'd have a shot. This year I did."

Kenny might have won the Super Comp championship, but his son deserves an assist.

Jason Kenny won the Super Comp event in Las Vegas two weeks before the season finale in Pomona and all but guaranteed his dad the championship.

When Stefan Kondolay, second place in the Super Comp standings, lost to Matt Constant in Pomona, Alan Kenny was declared the Super Comp champion. But Kenny's championship season was well within reach after the races in Las Vegas.

Alan Kenny was knocked out in the first round of eliminations, but Jason Kenny went on an impressive run knocking out Kondolay in the first round. Luke Bogocki was also in contention for the Super Comp championship, but he was eliminated in the early rounds at Las Vegas.

Once Jason Kenny started advancing at Las Vegas, he said securing the championship for his dad was forefront in his mind.

"That was my plan," Jason Kenny said. "But when it actually happened, I was really nervous. Probably 10 to 15 minutes before the run, I knew I was going to race Stefan. Mentally I was going through all the possibilities. I was pretty nervous. I did want that, but for the 10, 15 minutes leading up to that, it was pretty nerve-wracking."

Jason Kenny and Bogocki were set up to meet in the semifinals. But Bogocki didn't advance to the semis. Jason Kenny beat Trevor Larson in a very tight final race. Kenny won in 9.069 seconds to Larson's 9.092.

"When Luke went out fourth or fifth round, the pressure was gone and I went on to win the race," Jason Kenny said. "I was very relaxed. Luke and Stefan were gone and that was the whole goal of the day. Just had fun after that."

Alan Kenny said he started using K&N air filters in his first dragsters and gradually incorporated K&N oil filters in his race cars.

"Been using them for a long time," Alan Kenny said. "Used them for years and loving them."

Alan Kenny, who is from Kingston, Ontario, Canada, said his drag racing team started fast in 2012, but it wasn't until the races at Norwalk, Ohio, that his season pointed toward a championship.

"I ended up winning Norwalk and thinking, OK, I really do have a shot," Alan Kenny said. "It's been just all good since then. I won a big bracket race in August, a 25 grander. A week or two before, I blew up a motor, which is close to 25 grand. It's one check right there."

When he led the Super Comp standings with two races to go in the season, Kenny's confidence began to grow.

"The last month or more, I kept saying if I'm still leading the points heading for Vegas, it would be really good. And I was," Alan Kenny said. "We got to Vegas, if I'm still leading the points heading to Pomona, it would be really, really good. And I was."

As hot as he was as a driver, Alan Kenny said having his son roll through the Las Vegas races was equally as impressive.

"The best defense in these categories is a good offense," Alan Kenny said. "You can't control what the other racers do. As long as one of us is winning that means the guys chasing me can't be winning. That was huge."

Bradley Morris Finishes 2012 3rd in Pro Lite & Modified Kart, 2nd in Limited Buggy

Racers battled in the last race of the season at Firebird Raceway, but K&N's Bradley Morris fought smart to clinch second overall in the points chase
Racers battled in the last race of the season at Firebird Raceway, but K&N's Bradley Morris fought smart to clinch second overall in the points chase
The 2012 Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series' final contest was held at Firebird Raceway in Chandler, Arizona. For K&N's Bradley Morris and the BME race team, the tension was dialed up to eleven. Morris, the 2011 Limited Buggy class Rookie of the Year, was second in the Limited Buggy class and he was breathing down the neck of Kevin McCullough in the number one spot.

With the wave of the green flag Bradley Morris was able to get a quick lead over McCullough, with the rest of the pack tightly grouped and right on their tails. The split lane allowed Bradley Morris to go low, while McCullough went high, and when they exited Bradley Morris now had Fitzgerald on his tail with McCullough losing a few positions.

Bradley Morris and Fitzgerald immediately engaged in a non-stop battle, bumping tires and staying side-by-side around the track, even when going through the split lane where there appeared to be no extra space for the two of them racing. The hard racing only intensified as the laps rolled on. The lead pack of two turned into four, with no one willing to give an inch. All four drivers, Bradley Morris, Fitzgerald, McCullough and Poole, attempted to enter turn-three at the same time. Chaos was averted when Bradley Morris was forced to hit the brakes to keep away from what would surely have been a massive crash.
Despite getting pushed off the track and into the blow-up advertisement, Bradley Morris battled back to finish Challenge Cup in a solid fifth place

Keeping his cool and showing the brand of track maturity he first displayed last season, Bradley Morris was able to make up the ground that he had lost. Then when the last lap white flag waved, Morris tucked into second and remained focused on staying clean for the final lap. Morris held on and clenched second overall in the points chase, in only his second year of racing Limited Buggy.

With the points battle decided, the Challenge Cup was all that remained of the 2012 season. Drivers lined up for the race according to the Championship Points order and then that order was inverted. This put Bradley Morris on the very last row with Fitzgerald for the start of the race. Bradley Morris exploded off the line passing several cars immediately, and when he exited turn-three Morris was already up into the second spot.

More bumping between Bradley Morris and Fitzgerald ensued and this time when they touched tires, Bradley Morris got pitched sideways, heading off the track smack dab into the inflated advertisement barrier. Bradley Morris quickly got his car untangled though and he got back in the race, but was he was now almost a lap down. The wise-before-his-time driver keep pushing forward and making up ground. Eventually he caught up, and then once again he began working his way through the pack. Remarkably the talented young racer was still able to finish the Challenge Cup with an impressive top five finish despite the mishap.

Bradley Morris and the BME team's high level of consistency all season earned him second in points for the Limited Buggy class, which is the same class that he received the Rookie of the Year award last year. He also captured third in points in both the Pro Lite class and Modified Kart class. Bradley Morris also capped off this impressive season with the Rookie of the Year for 2012 in Pro Lite.

Just about any truck owner would agree, more power and torque is always a good thing. K&N designed an air intake system (77-9036KP) for 2012 to 2016 Toyota Tundra 5.7 liter engine models that boosts power by an estimated 7 horsepower at 5490 rpm and torque by 8.48 lb./ft. at 3481 rpm.

K&N air intake 77-9036KP has a mandrel-bent aluminum intake tube with a chrome-like finish, a high flow air filter RF-1044 and a custom heat shield to isolate the air filter from engine heat. The air filter is conical shaped. It is washable, reusable, and provides excellent protection for the air demanding Tundra V8 engine. Depending on your individual driving conditions, this air filter can be used up to 100,000 miles before servicing is required.

Step by step instructions are provided that show how easy it is to install a K&N power gaining performance air intake on a 5.7 liter 2012 to 2016 Toyota Tundra. 2011, 2012 and 2013 Dodge Challenger models are performance-based vehicles that give their owners driving excitement. Their 6.4L V8 motor is designed for raw power output in both horsepower and torque and it certainly delivers with break horsepower and torque ratings of 470 horses and 470 lb-ft. torque. However, simply because this vehicle has been designed to deliver horsepower is no reason that there isn't room for more of that driving excitement. K&N has focused on reducing restriction and increasing power to engines for well over 40 years and this experience has been applied to their 69-2545TP Typhoon air intake system design.

The 69-2545TP is simple in both concept and application. The optimized intake tube and high flow filter are intended to minimize restriction for the big 6.4L V8. The optimization speaks for itself as evidenced by the estimated additional 22 horsepower and 19.25 lb-ft of torque at the wheels when tested. Considering that of the 470 break horsepower only 394 horsepower make it to the wheels, this is an exceptional increase. In addition to fiting several Dodge Challenger models, the 69-2545TP
also fits 2012 to 2016 Dodge Charger and 2012 to 2015 Chrysler 300 models with 6.4 liter engines.

The extra horsepower is a welcome addition for those interested in unleashing all of the performance that their engines are yearning to put down. The 69-2545TP intake system is a simple bolt-on-and-go intake system. Installation can be completed with basic hand tools in about 90 minutes. The RF-1042 air filter on this intake kit is washable and reusable. It can be used for up to 100,000 miles before cleaning is needed depending on driving conditions so you won't need to worry about that for a while. K&N confidently backs this air intake system with the famous K&N Million Mile Limited Warranty so you can have peace of mind that this kit is the pinnacle of air intake engineering.

The 69-2545TP intake system fits the following applications:
