While the Ducati 1098 and 1098S superbikes are a popular motorcycle of riders around the world they are also a popular choice of racers. With its powerful twin cylinder engine this aerodynamic motorcycle has the power needed to get up and go. But even with this impressive power, racers look for even more performance to give them an edge. K&N provides an edge with the DU-1007R racing performance air filter.
This high-flow racing air filter for 2007 - 2016 Ducati 1098 and 1098S, 2008 through 2011 Ducati 1098R and 848 motorcycles is made with quality materials to meet the needs of serious racers. It also comes with two air manifold gaskets to help maintain a tight seal.
The new DU-1007R air filter provides the Ducati 1098 and 1098S with higher air flow than our replacement version of this air filter (DU-1007). The DU-1007R race filter has two layers of cotton media instead of four for even less restriction than our replacement version. K&N recommends the DU-1007R air filter is used only for racing. The DU-1007 should be used for all other uses as it will give you much better engine protection for the life of your motorcycle.
Like all K&N air filters the DU-1007R is washable and reusable. It is also backed by a one year limited warranty. All air filters for Ducati motorcycles can be found on the K&N Ducati Air Filter page.
The K&N DU-1007R will fit the following Ducati motorcycles:

It would be next to impossible to exaggerate how flat-out flabbergasted the motorcycle community has been about the Ducati 1199 Panigale. Shortly after it debut at the Yas Marina Circuit in Abu Dhabi in the spring 2012, Motorcyclist Magazine named it their Motorcycle of the year, saying "...it's a superbike that's leading Ducati and the motorcycle industry as a whole in a new direction."
K&N Replacement Air Filter for 2013 Ducati 1199 Panigale Motorcycle
Not since 1988, when Ducati introduced the 851 to a waiting world, has there been such an enormous leap forward in motorcycle engineering. The 1199, arguably the most anticipated bike in many years, also takes a radical performance and technological hurdle into the future compared with Ducati's 1198 and 1098 series superbikes.
The 1199 contains mass amounts of pure pharmaceutical grade motorcycle passion. The totally new engine features the latest in Ducati technology, although still retaining its legendary 90-degree L-Twin profile. The 195-horspower Superquadro engine is unmistakably an expression of Italian art, and the name references the engines massively over-square bore and stroke. The Panigale also offers three new rider modes and eight levels of traction control and Ducati Electronic Suspension (DES) to go along with the redesigned non-trellis Monocoque chassis. The Ducati 1199 Panigale simply takes the old mold of what a superbike should be, and blows it to smithereens.
If a herd of well-mannered performance is good, then even more overall horsepower and torque is monumental. That's what you get by merely upgrading the existing disposable air filter on the 1199 Panigale with a new K&N DU-1112 high performance air filter. The effect is immediate and the effort is minimal, because the DU-1112 is designed to fit directly into the OE air filter assembly, without the need for any modifications. It has less restriction than typical disposable air filters and less restriction can result in extra power and torque when you need it.
The specially pleated material on the DU-1112 air filter provides a large filtration area that continues to provide exceptional filtration for extended service intervals. Depending on your riding conditions, servicing intervals can go up to 50,000 miles before maintenance is necessary. When cleaning is finally required, it's as uncomplicated as following the four simple steps on a K&N Recharger Air Filter Cleaning Kit.
Jessica Clark raced Ford Focus Midgets and S2 stock cars before moving up to the Lucas Oil Modified Series.
In her first season in the Lucas Oil Modified Series, Jessica Clark found her comfort zone through the first five races. That zone has been 12th place. In three of those races, she had what she described as first-lap bad luck. She made contact or had a mechanical problem that knocked her out of contention early.
Jessica Clark said racing at different tracks is giving her a new perspective on the sport.
"Every race I've progressed in qualifying-wise," said the 19-year-old from Ventura, California "Twelfth has been our pretty consistent finishing position. We've run into our fair share of bad luck, at least as far as first laps go. It's been a learning year, but it's not a slow learning year. I'm progressing really quickly. Next year we should be contending for top-five positioning in the overall points standings."
She started from the pole and finished 13th place at the Irwindale Event Center on August 17. She was the fourth fastest in qualifying and started from the pole on an invert. It was her third 13th place finish of the season to go along with two 12th place finishes.
"I didn't have the car right from the first lap. It was way too loose, especially on the entries," Clark said. "I wasn't able to compete with anybody. It was a mess. I just went backwards. I figured out the low line, but the low line you can only run for so long. My right rear tire was chattering for the last 20 laps. I thought it was going to blow on me. It was just miserable."
Jessica Clark quickly dropped from the front row to seventh place early in the race. She stayed in the top 10 until the closing laps, when she dropped to 13th.
She started the season with an 18th-place finish at Havasu 99 Speedway in Arizona. After that, she followed with a 12th-place finish at I-10 Speedway in Blythe, California, and a pair of 13th place finishes at The Bullring and Rocky Mountain Raceways.
"Every race as its own unique story," Clark said. "It's been me and my dad. He's never touched a modified before this season. Luckily we got our hands on a great car. This is the former champion's, Austin Barnes' car. He won the championship last season."
She said racing at different tracks is giving her a new perspective on the sport.
"I looked forward to racing at [the I-10 Speedway in] Blythe because I had a lot of success there in a midget," Clark said. "But that track is not built for stock cars. I found out very quick that is not my favorite track anymore. Vegas has always been a top pick for me. I've always dreamed of driving a modified around that joint. I like the modifieds. They handle pretty well everywhere."
Jessica Clark raced Ford Focus Midgets and S2 stock cars before moving up to the Lucas Oil Modified Series stock cars. Her experience in modified racing is less than a 20 races.
"These have a lot more horsepower. They handle so much better," Clark said. "The S2s were like houseboats on pavement. It was rolling over so much in the corners. You had to wrestle it around the race track and it wasn't necessarily the funnest car to drive."
Clark was 12th at the race at Madera Speedway. Despite the results, Clark said she loves racing stock cars in the Lucas Oil Modified Series.
"Out of all the series I've raced in, the Lucas Oil Modified Series has been the most incredible," Clark said. "They've got the TV broadcasting, they've got absolutely great backing from sponsors, they take care of the drivers. We've got great purses. It's just been awesome."
Jessica Clark said her teams have used K&N products throughout her racing career and she wouldn't depend on anything else.
"Honestly, I've never run anything other than K&N," Clark said. "I don't have anything to compare it to. We run it in out tow vehicle and our race car. I haven't heard anything but good things about them. I can't say anything but good things about K&N filters. I feel like everybody knows that K&N is the top brand."

Jacob Cruz uses his 2006 Combat-Vet Edition Jeep Grand Cherokee to promote his non-profit corporation Vets Cruizin' for a Cause.
For Jacob Cruz, the custom car scene means a whole different meaning than it does for most people. Jacob is a US Army Combat veteran and he uses his 2006 Combat-Vet Edition Jeep Grand Cherokee to promote his non-profit corporation Vets Cruizin' for a Cause.
While in the Army Jacob saw a lot of horrible action and even served on an elite team that was directly involved with the capture of Saddam Hussein. While serving Jacob saw things that the average human wouldn't. Because of this, he decided that he must do something to give back to those that were injured, or worse yet killed, in the line of duty.
When Jacob got home he began work on his 2006 Jeep Grand Cherokee, he wanted to honor his fellow military brothers and sisters in a way that only a soldier could. He decided to build a rolling tribute vehicle and raise money to help those that served our country. As one of the founders of "Vets Cruizin' for a Cause", Jacob and many of his family and friends attend car shows on the weekends to promote their charity and raise money to assist those in need.
For Jacob Cruz, everything on the Grand Cherokee has a meaning. The red symbolizes two things; the blood which was shed in combat and his unit's color.
For Jacob, everything on the Jeep has a meaning. The red symbolizes two things; the blood which was shed in combat and his unit's color. The Black carbon fiber symbolizes the special-ops, or black-ops, he conducted in combat operations.
When it comes to the stance of his ride, he wanted his Jeep to look mean and aggressive so he equipped the Grand Cherokee with 2 Crave Wheels model #25, in black of course, to symbolize Special Operations.
Jacob wanted the ultimate safety for himself and his passengers so he removed the factory interior and installed racing seats with full racing harnesses to protect them under any circumstances. Safety is Jacob's main concern when it comes to those around him.
Jacob Cruz tells us the black carbon fiber symbolizes the special-ops or black-ops he conducted in combat operations.
Jacob Cruz added horsepower to his Jeep Grand Cherokee with K&N air intake system 57-1548. "I like the performance gains and how they sell their products," Jacob explains. "The prices were very reasonable and the product was very reliable." K&N dyno testing showed a boost of 9.4 horsepower at 4397 with this air intake system installed. "Performance gains were exactly as advertised," Cruz continues. "I have had nothing but good experiences. The [K&N Jeep Grand Cherokee air] intake was easy to install and the products are straight forward. I have never had a problem with them."
We would like to thank Jacob Cruz for all he has done while serving our country and thank him for all that he continues to do with his non-profit charity "Vets Cruizin' for a Cause".
Take a look at the performance gains available for your vehicle by using the K&N Search by Vehicle on KNFilters.com. K&N air intakes for Jeep Grand Cherokee models and other cars, trucks, SUV, motorcycle and more are guaranteed to increase horsepower and performance.
