New K&N 57 Series Intake Kit Helps 2003-2005 T-Birds Soar

RIVERSIDE, CA - The new Ford Thunderbird probably embodies retro styling better than any other current car. However, a slightly anemic powertrain makes the car's performance pale somewhat compared to its appearance.

K&N has done its part to help make the 2003, 2004 and 2005 T-Bird run as good as it looks thanks to a new 57-Series Fuel Injection Performance Kit (FIPK®). This cold-air system (Part No. 57-2562) imparts dyno-proven horsepower throughout the T-Bird's powerband.

This 57-Series FIPK® features three main aerodynamically engineered components: a famous K&N High-Flow Air Filter, a metal heatshield and an optimally routed polyethylene intake tube. The kit also includes illustrated instructions and all mounting hardware so that the average Thunderbird owner can bolt on the 57-Series FIPK® in approximately one hour-no drilling required.

Environmentally friendly, the K&N High-Flow Air Filter can be repeatedly washed and re-oiled with a K&N Recharger® Kit, saving landfills from disposable paper filters. Service intervals are as much as 100,000 miles (depending on driving conditions), and the filter is covered by the K&N Million Mile Limited Warranty®.

K&N also offers a washable/reusable replacement panel-type filter for 2002-2005 Thunderbird (PN 33-2266).

K&N Offers Guaranteed Horsepower for the Mach 1 Mustang With Their 57 Series FIPK® Intake Kit

RIVERSIDE, CA, -- The 2003 and 2004 Ford Mach 1 Mustang are two of the coolest retro-rods to come from Dearborn in recent years. In box-stock form, its 4.6L DOHC V-8 spun the K&N DynoJet Dyno to a peak of 269 horsepower. With the easy-to-install K&N 57 Series Fuel Injection Performance Kit (FIPK®) (Part # 57-2555) Mach 1 owners can boost peak output by almost 12 horsepower at the rear wheels! Mustangs fitted with aftermarket exhausts experienced even greater improvements.

K&N used their more than 35 years of experience to develop the Ford Mach 1 FIPK® Intake Kit from scratch. In designing the Mach 1 Kit K&N Engineers took advantage of the vehicle's unique shaker hood scoop. By coupling a heat shield to the factory hood scoop, K&N was able to ensure the coolest possible charge of air enters into the intake. Inside, this FIPK's® art and science is in its radius adapter that mates the filter to the roto-molded intake tube, which improves airflow into the factory throttle body.

Installation is relatively straightforward. Major steps include removing the stock intake tube and airbox, then adding the K&N heat shield, radius adapter and intake tube and clamping the famous K&N High-Flow Air Filter. As with all K&N Intake Kits, the FIPK® is designed to bolt in easily and works will all factory sensors and emissions equipment. This system is covered by the famous K&N Million Mile Limited Warranty®. Cleaning is a simple process with the K&N Recharger® Kit (sold separately) and with recommended cleaning every 100,000 miles (depending on conditions), a K&N filter will often last longer than the vehicle.

K&N 57-Series FIPK® Unleashes '04-05 GM Duramax Diesel Power

RIVERSIDE, CA - GM one-upped the light-duty diesel torque wars by introducing the LLY-series Duramax diesel for 2004-2005 Chevy and GMC 2500 and 3500 trucks. The engine's class-leading 605 lb-ft of torque provides serious towing power. Still, there was room for improvement. Enter K&N engineers. The leader in airflow technology, K&N unlocks more rear-wheel HP and extra torque with a new 57-Series Fuel Injection Performance Kit (FIPK®), Part No. 57-3047, for the LLY Duramax.

Clean air is critical for diesel engine longevity. K&N is able to significantly increase airflow to the engine while improving particulate-trapping capabilities compared to the stock paper filter. This happens through the famous K&N High-Flow Air Filter's aerodynamically engineered pleats. Construction consists of four layers of oil-impregnate cotton-gauze sandwiched between stainless steel screen to capture particles as small as 5 microns. The cotton filter medium traps dirt, and the pleats' pitch and depth accelerate airflow into the engine. Backed by the K&N Million Mile Limited Warranty®, this filter can be repeatedly washed and re-oiled with a K&N Recharger® Kit. Service intervals are now as high as 100,000 miles.

After exiting the filter, incoming air travels through a free-flowing polyethylene intake tube that's routed for the least restriction possible. The system's heatshield keeps incoming air as cool as possible.

The LLY Duramax 57-Series FIPK® is designed for do-it-yourself installation. The bolt-on kit comes complete with all necessary hardware. Existing holes are used, so no drilling is required.

K&N also offers a washable/reusable OE-replacement air filter for the LLY Duramax (PN 33-2135) as well as a premium-quality Performance Gold Oil Filter (PN HP-3003) - highly recommended for keeping oil clean to maximize diesel longevity.

New K&N FIPKs Offer Guaranteed Horsepower For The Dodge Magnum and Chrysler 300

RIVERSIDE, CA - Chrysler continues to be on the cutting edge of vehicle design with its new 300 sedan and 2005 to 2010 Dodge Magnum musclewagon. Along the same lines, K&N continues it domination of airflow technology with new 57-Series Fuel Injection Performance Kit (FIPK®) applications for these new Chrysler creations. Guaranteed to make horsepower, these kits demonstrated significant gains on K&N's Dynojet 248 dynamometer. The 5.7L Hemi system (PN 57-1542) added an average of 21 rear-wheel HP, and the 3.5L V-6 57-Series FIPK® (PN 57-1543) showed increases of 12 HP. In both, power improved throughout the band. (See the dyno chart at www.knfilters.com.)

The FIPK intake kits include a famous K&N High-Flow Air Filter, the airflow enhancer that revolutionized the performance industry and is backed by the famous K&N Million Mile Limited Warranty®. This filter can be repeatedly washed and re-oiled with a K&N Recharger® kit; service intervals are as much as 100,000 miles depending on driving conditions.

Beginning at the filter, airflow is cleaned and directed. It then travels through an aerodynamically engineered polyethylene intake tube to the engine, where more air equals more power. The system includes a metal shield to isolate incoming air from underhood heat and all necessary hardware for simple installation.

K&N also offers a washable/reusable OE-replacement High Flow Air Filters for the 300/Magnum (PN 33-2295) as well as a premium-quality Performance Gold Oil Filter (PN HP-2004) for these cars.
