Add 9.5 HP to Chevy Trailblazer, Isuzu Acender and GMC Envoy with K&N Air Intake

The Chevrolet Trailblazer is considered the cousin of a General Motors design which fits the GMC Envoy and the Isuzu Ascender. All three models are equipped with a fuel management system that can reduce gas consumption while cruising.

K&N Engineering has developed a performance air intake system (57-3062) that is street legal in 50 states for the 2006 Isuzu Ascender with a 4.2 liter engine, the 2006 GMC Envoy with a 4.2 liter engine and the 2006 Chevrolet Trailblazer with a 4.2 liter engine. K&N dynamometer testing shows a 9.51 horsepower gain at 4725 rpm.

The original factory tube shape was not efficient for getting the air box to the throttle body. K&N’s placement of the mass air sensor, the dimensions of the intake tube and use of a K&N air filter (RU-4730) are the reasons for the additional horsepower.

The powder coated steel heat shield isolates the washable and reusable K&N air filter from the heat of the engine. This results in cooler air going into the engine for an immediate power gain.

K&N Engineering has developed a performance air intake system (57-3057) that is street legal in all 50 US states for the 2500 and 2400 series of the 2005, 2006 and 2007 diesel GMC Sierra and diesel Chevrolet Silverado. K&N was able to get the additional horsepower because the original factory intake tube and factory air filter were restrictive. The factory air box had a restrictive 90 degree bend. The K&N intake replaced the original airbox and filter with a bigger, smoother intake.

The K&N air intake has an oversized cone shaped air filter (RC-5139). The air intake system is free-flowing, which results in an immediate power gain. The specially designed heat shield also isolates the K&N air filter from engine heat.

The high flow technology invented by K&N and made in the USA provides the best balance of airflow and filtration. The RC-5139 is washable and reusable and can go up to 100,000 miles before cleaning is necessary.

K&N Engineering has developed a 50 US State street legal performance air intake system (57-3054) for the 2004 and 2005 Cadillac CTS-V with 5.7 liter V8 engine. K&N dynamometer testing shows a 19.14 horsepower gain at 5100 rpm.

The 57-3054 features a specially molded intake tube and a K&N chrome top air filter (RC-2960). Cooler outside air is directed toward the K&N air filter from the factory fresh air duct.

The steel heat shield isolates the K&N air filter from the engine heat. This in turn keeps a cooler air charge going into the engine for an instant power gain. The 57-3054 eliminates air path restriction for increased power and torque when you need it.

2008 through 2013 Polaris Ranger RZR Owners Gain Estimated 3.40 HP with K&N Air Intake Kit

Polaris blew the lid off the side-by-side ATV market with the new Polaris Ranger RZR. It is well engineered, only 50 inches wide and the only true trail capable side-by-side in its class. It weighs in around 945 pounds and has the lowest cage height of any side-by-side in the industry.

K&N Engineering has designed a new performance air intake system (63-1120) for the 2008 through 2013 Polaris Ranger RZR 800, 2009 through 2013 Polaris Ranger RZR S 800 and 2011 Polaris Ranger RZR 4 800 EPS Robby Gordon Edition. Dyno testing shows an estimated 3.40 horsepower increase at 25.6 mph.

The 63-1120 replaces the stock airbox and intake track. An oversized K&N X-Stream Top air filter is included to increase airflow along with dirt and dust capacity. K&N’s unique pleated design provides a larger surface area and an increased volume of air flow over the stock unit. This results in better throttle response, additional horsepower and longer service intervals.

The airbox is made of black powder-coated steel to protect the K&N X-Stream Top Air Filter from pulling in engine heated air. A separate crankcase breather filter vents heat and oil vapor generated from engine crank pressure. A K&N DryCharger is supplied for extreme dust or wet conditions.

For optimum performance, fuel management modifications are not necessary. K&N high-flow air filters are washable and reusable. They allow high air flow while providing excellent filtration. Most K&N air intakes can be installed in 90 minutes or less.

K&N Engineering has developed a performance air intake system (57-3515) that is street legal in 50 states for the 2006 to 2008 Honda Ridgeline 3.5 liter V6 engine. K&N dynamometer testing shows a 10.96 horsepower gain at 5159 rpm.

The 57-3515 was engineered to work within the Ridgeline’s computer specifications while maximizing power and at the same time, allowing air to flow with little restriction. The aerodynamically engineered tube allows virtually free flowing air into the 3.5 liter engine for an immediate power gain.

K&N engineers also used the factory fresh air duct on the 2006 Honda Ridgeline. The factory fresh air inlet in the bottom of the engine compartment guides cool outside air into the intake track.

The powder coated steel heat shield has an opening that allows the fresh air intake duct to feed air to the K&N chrome top air filter (RC-4760). The K&N washable and reusable air filter is also isolated from high engine temperatures by the heat shield which also contributes to the increase in horsepower.
